Should hugging be allowed in the hallway? I personally think that it's not that big of a deal to hug. Some students think it's not a big deal to hug in the hallway because what if your best friend or cousin comes up to you and their upset about something? It should be perfectly okay to hug them.
As for couples. it's still is not a big deal. I mean as long as they are not kissing and touching each other in an inappropriate way or anything like that. There may be some days where a friend, boyfriend, or girlfriend will need a hug to let them know it'll be okay. There are some kids that feel or think that they have no one, and that they are alone. They may get upset easily or most of the time they're depressed. The power of a hug may make them feel better. So why is it such a big deal to hug in the hallway?

This year Mrs. Sudduth gave the eighth grade students the privilege to travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to view short story plays by many well known poets and authors. The plays were produced by the Chamber Theater production company. The students viewed "The Raven" and "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs, "The Necklace" by Guy de Maupassant, and "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" by Mark Twain. On the field trip, students were able to travel comfortably on a charter bus. Divergent played on the way to Baton Rouge, and Godzilla was shown on the way back to McComb. While some students chose to watch the movies, other simply enjoyed the company of their peers. The adults that chaperoned were Mrs. Lamkin, Mrs. Moak, Mrs. Sudduth, and Mrs. Barbara Watkins. On the way back to school, the chaperons and bus driver complimented the students on their superb behavior. The field trip wasn't so exciting. The theater was extremely cold, and the plays were long and a bit boring. However, because of the students' relationships, it made the trip very great. Maybe next time around many more children may attend the field trip. |
